About James

James Carson is a highly accomplished concept artist with over two decades of experience in the film industry. He gained recognition for his work on blockbuster hits like Men in Black, Wild Wild West, and Batman Forever, which served as a launching pad for his career in Hollywood.

Carson has since continued to illustrate for over 50 major motion-pictures, spanning multiple genres and franchises. In the last decade, he has continued to be part of numerous works, contributing to Marvel films such as Captain America, Ant Man, and Thor, as well as helping revitalize franchises like the new Star Wars movies, Ghostbusters Afterlife, and the Lord of the Rings series.

Carson specializes in set design, landscapes, creature, and machine design. His unique approach to concept art is influenced by his experience in building sets and sculpting, which is reflected in his illustrative work. He has a talent for bringing cinematic worlds to life, and his contributions have been vital in creating many memorable films.

His recent work includes contributions to films like The Glass Onion, Aquaman, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Carson’s versatility and skills as an artist have made him an asset to many projects he has undertaken. 

He has a wonderful wife, 5 kids, and 3 dogs. Outside of art, he loves music, traveling, and playing racquetball.
